FOUNDER / PRESIDENT
Jay Lozoya was born in Pasadena, TX and was surrounded by soccer at an early age. It started from local leagues in Pasadena, to street soccer with friends which then led to competitive play. In his competitive soccer years, Jay participated in many National Soccer Events such as: Dallas Cup, Disney Showcases, PDL Championships, USL Combines, and even spent some time training in Monterrey, Mexico and overseas in Cordoba, Argentina.
After retiring from competitive soccer, Jay geared his focus to youth development training. This is when Iso Sports Performance Training was created. What started off as a side job and hobby then became Jay’s full time career. Throughout the years of sports performance training, Jay never lost sight on how street soccer and small-sided games could benefit youth soccer development.
With this concept still in mind, Jay then founded Houston Futsal Association, the first ever Futsal program in the southeast region that carried out an open-play system allowing players from the community to enjoy the benefits of pick-up games.
He now has built Houston Futsal Association, the first ever 2 in 1 futsal and soccer club in Houston playing under the U.S. Soccer Club and the U.S. Youth Futsal Club.
Walter Anoruo was born in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to Houston at the age of 11. He started his youth career with some local teams at the age of 14. He had a successful high school career and went on to play for the Texans Soccer Club at age 16 and Rush Academy at age 18. After spending two years at University of Houston – Victoria (NAIA college), he went on to play for Texas A&M International University (High ranking DII school). While he was at TAMIU, he won the conference championship and was one of the key standouts on the team. He also played with Laredo Heat FC, a top ranking PDL Team and participated with them in the PDL Championships.
After his last year of eligibility in college, he decided to put a pause to his studies and chase his dream to become a professional soccer player. In 2014, he traveled overseas to play in Germany, where he played for a 5th division amateur team. In 2016, he then traveled to Denmark to play with the 2nd team of a professional team, AaB Aalborg. The following year, he played for an amateur team in Norway, and after the season was over in 2017, decided to come back home to Houston and pour his knowledge into the youth.
Since then, he partnered up with Jay and has built a unique training system in the southeast Houston that provides the best technical development curriculum for youth soccer players.
